Raining Cats & Dogs

What's with this weather, it's been hot and sunny for months... as soon as my birthday rolls around, thunderstorms?! Maybe it's a sign the good weather's over and I should move somewhere more tropical—I might just look into that.... Nevertheless, it's not all bad as I've got heaps to do today and it won't be so stinking hot, lol.

Raining Cats & Dogs — "It seems that cats were at one time thought to have influence over storms, especially by sailors, and that dogs were symbols of storms, often accompanying images and descriptions of the Norse storm god Odin. So when some particularly violent tempest appeared, people suggested it was caused by cats (bringing the rain) and dogs (the wind)"
